Karl Kelley & Backwater Legacy Camps

***Members***

It's that time of year again to begin thinking about sending your kids to camps this summer.  This year HTDA will be sending 2 youth to the Karl Kelley camp and 1 youth to the Backwater Legacy camp.

A child is eligible for camp if they are a relative to an HTDA member.

The Karl Kelley camp is located northern Indiana and is a summer camp program that will educate youth about conservation of natural resources.   This camp experience is open to any boy or girl that has completed the fifth or sixth grade in the preceding school year.  For more information, please visit http://icoo.com/home/

The Backwater Legacy camp is located in Ellettsville, Indiana.  This is a 4-year academy that will educate youth about outdoor recreation.  This camp experience is open to any boy or girl ages 9-16 years of age.  The camp is June 10-14 and June 17-21.  For more information, please visit http://backwaterlegacies.org/

If any HTDA member is interested in sending a youth relative to either of these camps; please send inquiries to Liz Ging at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or (765)265-1522.  If there are more participants than their is availability; HTDA will request the child write an essay of why HTDA should consider their eligibility.  Any youth participant wanting to be considering, must have inquiries to Liz Ging no later than May 1st to attend camps.
