I am pleased to announce the kickoff of the "Don't Shoot My Dog" campaign.

We'll be working on a multi facet approach to public education, and then cap that off with law enforcement education to combat the shooting of Hunting dogs in Indiana.

I will have the first installment of these poster as Autumn Oaks. Stop by and I'll be happy to fill you in on this valuable project...and what you can do to help.

If you are interested in helping out with this important campaign, please feel free to contact me

DON'T SHOOT MY DOG

The Hoosier Tree Dog Alliance is proud to announce the kickoff of a state wide campaign entitled "Don't Shoot My Dog".

The first leg of the campaign is the creation of posters that will be distributed to convenience stores, check stations, and outdoor shops. The goal is to educate the public about the possible civil and criminal penalties for malicious killing of a hunting dog.

The second leg of the campaign will include a brochure that will be made available to all county sheriffs departments, state police posts, and prosecutors.

Please be prepared to assist with the distribution of the fliers as we get them completed. Any member that is willing to help with this campaign, please contact Joe Newlin at 260-901-9011.

You can download the poster here.

Alan Holding Resigns as VP and BOD

To the regret of the HTDA BOD and Officers, HTDA Vice President Alan Holding has announced that he wishes to resign from his Board of Directors and Vice President’s position. After lengthy conversations with Alan, it is apparent that Alan feels that his plate is full at this time. Alan regrets leaving his position but has repeatedly stated that he feels that he fully supports the HTDA and its goals. Alan feels so deeply about the integrity of the HTDA that he cannot fulfill his duties at this time due to personal reasons and circumstances beyond his control.

Alan has been instrumental in the formulation of the HTDA. His technical skills and vision has helped the HTDA get off the ground and wade through the legal obligations the HTDA has had to go through to become a bona fide Indiana Corporation. From the very onset of the HTDA Alan has been dedicated to the cause of HTDA. When there was a need for great discretion Alan has been there with ideas and input.

The HTDA Membership owes Alan deep appreciation for his service to the HTDA.

2008 HTDA Banquet-Awesome

A little over one year ago the Hoosier Tree Dog Alliance became incorporated as a Not for Profit organization. The founders had many dreams of what this new Tree Dog organization should be and set out to make it happen. One of the original visions was to host an annual HTDA banquet that we all could be proud of. I’m very happy to report the First Annual HTDA Banquet was just that, certainly something we are very proud of. Thank you to everyone who contributed in large and small ways to make this event the success it was.
